VS How To Use Jump Rebid Of Opener As Gameforcing Hands Collector

If we don't play Mini-Splinter convention, we can use jump rebid of opener as gameforcing hands collector.

When we play Mini-Spilter convention, and we have enough places below the 3rd level raise  of the responder's suit, we can combine the 16-18 points raise (Mini-Splinter convention) with gameforcing hands when we have 6+ cards in our 1st suit, but no good rebid next.. When we bid 1♣-1 2♠, we have a lot of space to bid well.

If our Mini-Splinter looks like 1♣-1-3, we don't have bidding space unlil our 3 contract at all. That is not a good solution.

My solution is the following:

If we don't play Mini-Splinter convention, we can put a lot of things into a jump rebid.

I think, that mini-Splinter is one of the most unnecessary conventions, because after opener made a jump raise rebid, like 1♣-1-3, expert level players should play shortness asking relay, which soluiton makes Mini-Spilter convention unnecessary.

1♣ 1
3 3♠
?
3NT      No shortness
4♣      lower shortness or inverted, consequent with the system
4      higher sortness,  or inverted, consequent with the system

If responder needs a cue-bid,he should bid a new suit above the relay's bidding space.

1♣ 1
3 ?
3♠      Relay, asking for shortness
3NT      cue-bid in ♠
4♣      cue-bid in ♣, no cue-bid in ♠
4      cue-bid in , no cue-bid in ♠ and ♣
4      to play

We can play non-forcing 1♣-1-1♠, however, even if we play 1st level suit rebid of opener as a forcing bid, it should be passed with misfit, weak hands, and less cards in the opening suit then in the 2nd.

Even if 1♠ is forcing, pass is surely the best bid. Even partner has supermaximum of opening, we don't have good cards for partner. So if he is unbalanced, he can reach dummy maximum 1 times and no good game contract will be available. Opener can't have supermaximum with balanced hand here, because than he have had opened 2NT.

We can pass even stronger hads, than this.

Back to the system without Mini-Spilter convention.

Every rebid hurts somehow. Most pairs play 2 reverse bid of opener as 4 cards in diamonds strong hand or gameforcing hand, 6+clubs.

Still, later it can occur a lot of problemts, bidding reverse 2 with a singleton!

Therefore it worth playing so, that our lowest unnecessery jump bid will be a collector of game forcing bids of the problematic hands.

My solution looks like this, transferable to any lower position, because we have than more places like now:

1♣ 1
2♠ 2NT
?
3♣       6+♣, not good to 2NT, mostly more, than 6 clubs
3      5+♣, 4♠
3      6+♣,3
3♠      6+♣,5♠, very good hand, maximum 4 loosers
3NT      6+♣, too good to bid 1♣-1-3N directly

Important warning! Responder should bid his suit again instead of 2NT relay, if he has too good suit to cooperate.

If we don't have enough space to separate 5 different hand types, we should just put the following cases into this solution.

1 1♠
3 3♠
?
3NT      6+♣, too good to bid 1♣-1-3N directly
4♣       7+♣, 3 cards in ♠, not good to play no trump contract,
4       7+♣, not good to play no trump contract, short in
4       7+♣, not good to play no trump contract, short in
4♠       7+♣, not good to play no trump contract, short in ♠
